Per Jaxxon's own product pages, their iced out cubans use 5A cubic zirconia stones — their 8mm gold iced cuban lists "1639 stones, 27.8 carats" of CZ — and the gold version's base is described as "nickel-free copper and zinc alloy bonded with 14k gold." They back it with a 30-day trial. That's a defensible product at the right price: 5A is the top CZ grade, and the bonding process is better than cheap flash plating.
What "5A CZ" Can't Do
Grade doesn't change chemistry. Cubic zirconia at any grade sits at 8–8.5 Mohs (it scratches and clouds with wear), fails a thermal diamond tester instantly, and has no gemological grading or certificate — because there's nothing to grade.
